Frequently asked questions
The eSmart Digital Licence is an online challenge which uses quizzes, videos and games to teach school aged children how to play, learn and socialise online in a smart, safe and responsible way.
Children take a fun yet educational quiz covering eight separate topics to test their digital literacy. Children can complete at their own pace, coming back to the quiz as much as they like. On successful completion of all topics students are awarded a Digital Licence and can print out a certificate.
The eSmart Digital Licence has been developed by the Alannah & Madeline Foundation with input of child psychologists, cyber bullying experts, technologists and educators.
The eSmart Digital Licence has two options. A primary quiz aimed at children from 8 to 12 years and a secondary quiz, for children aged between 13 to 14 years.
The eSmart Digital Licence has been designed to complement other eSmart programs. It will help eSmart Schools with Domain 5, 'Curriculum' and Domain 6, 'Working with Parents and the Community' and supports eSmart Libraries with Domain 4, 'Guidance and Learning for Users' and Domain 5, 'Community Connections'.
